Brief History of Brennan Olame

Remembrance

12/12, the anniversary of Brennan Olame's death is a symbol of the struggle of all 709 people of New Emily and its beloved mayor.

Early Days

His father was a merchant and one of Cape Verde's independence fighters who stood and fought with Brennan Olame for the rest of his life. Brennan Olame had inherited two key traits from his father: hard work and intellectual discipline. These was the two factors, the wings of his ascension to power.

Brennan Olame entered Hungary College in 04/19 persuing public policy after he spent his primary and high school education, and after four years of education, he was ready to serve Cape Verde with this knowledge. However, destiny had different ideas.

During his senior year of college, Olame received a fully funded offer to attend Madagascar State University for a master's degree in public health. Olame's father told him this was too good of an opportunity to pass up, so shortly after, Olame moved to America. Olame began working for the local hospitals to facilitate negotations with the city government. While doing so, he became a naturalized US citizen.

On 07/05/1997, he opened his eyes to the world in New Emily by announcing his campaign for mayor.

The Rise of The 6155 Plan

As part of his campeign, Olame introduced The 6155 Plan, which was developed to improve the public healthcare that served the 6155 patients from both New Emily and the surrounding cities. While providing some of the best care in the state, the hospitals had long waiting times, reporting only 18.38% of patients reporting waiting an hour or less to be seen by a doctor. With plans to reduce waiting time by as much as 80% through city support, Olame won over the citizens of New Emily, earning the title of mayor. Olame worked hard during his time as mayor, implementing The 6155 Plan, helping to improve the local schools and libraries, and making the town beautiful through several new civil improvement projects.

As Mayor

Unfortunately, Olame passed on 12/12. The people of New Emily remember him fondly.
